Hairstyles this year for prom feature many different looks.  Curls is one of the major components of a lot of the styles out there. 

Long curls will take a considerable amount of time to style, especially if you do not have naturally curly hair.  Use a medium barrel curling iron to add bouncy waves all over.

For extra help with creating waves, apply a curl-enhancing gel or mousse before blow-drying.  Another option is to use hot rollers.

If you are scheduling an appointment with your hair stylist, be sure to allow enough time before you have to get ready for your big night.  Use a strong hold hair spray to keep the curls in place all night.

Jessica has a long layered hairstyle with soft waves added throughout.  What an amazing hairstyle this would be for prom.  The hair is parted in the middle and waves are added to all layers using a medium barrel curling iron.  For added dimension, use two different sizes of curling irons and alternate between them.
